Clinging onto that warmth just a little longer, and thankful that she was still here to be such a familiarity to the world he no longer had any part of. That she'd even be able to greet him so warmly and act like he wasn't someone to be feared, even if she should - it was too much for him, really. His emotions still conflicting with him even now, but he had a lot of time to think. Lot of conversations and chatter with those who all had different opinions that he finally gave in, but... if he was going to stay, then he wanted to make a few things clear. Needed to make sure this wasn't going to happen again, because if it did, no one would be able to convince him that staying away wasn't the right thing to do anymore.
