[One day when Fuuka least expects it, there is a knock on her door.]

Fuuka-san...can I come in?

...I'm actually kind of jealous.

[...fuuka, he can still hear things said softly over the transmission.]

[She watches quietly, eyes idly drawing down to the hands that are curling on the table. There was something more on his mind, but it seems like he was struggling to part with the idea for whatever reason.

He finally gives a no, and Fuuka frowns gently, brow furrowing slightly. Isn't Castor's attack all the more reason not to withhold information from each other? She frowns, but then Shinjiro's already moving the conversation along.

A little sigh as she takes the cup of tea and sips at it, shaking her head afterward slightly.]

It's been awhile... I don't fully recall them. [...maybe she would try again in a bit.]

[Fuuka is quiet for a moment, just feeling the warm cup in her hands and considering the situation. Not really thinking about how to respond so much as she's just lost in her own thoughts. And it seems, for the moment, she might have so much as even lost her place in reality, before she finally speaks.]

Prompto's gone home. Temporarily.

[She doesn't say it with sadness so much as... perhaps a quiet, solemn thoughtfulness.]

Ignis-san told me. His amulet has remained, which means he'll be back before long. After... [Her hands squeeze the cup with uncertainty.] ...whatever he goes through, back at home.

[Even if there was a blessing in that he'd only returned home for the while, it was nevertheless a loss, and Fuuka would worry both for him, and quietly about their relationship, until he returned home.]

[. . . . . . oh. . . . .]

I bet we could find you a cool outfit at a nearby costume shop, you know?

[but it wouldn't be the same and he knows it]

...I see. I'm sorry to hear that.

[It's both a comfort and not. There's too many unhappy feelings swirling around in her and she has to carefully conceal them less they start leaking through the connection.]

[The sentiment is genuine, but her voice, even mentally, is subdued. Who can blame her, though?]

Fuuka gets up from her spot at her desk where she was reading a book— a textbook, actually— and opens the door.]

Narukami-san. [She offers a friendly smile, stepping aside and swinging the door open wider in invitation.] Of course. Please, come in.

[Ah... she blushes a bit, not having meant to transmit that particular thought.]

N-no, that's fine!

[She quickly calms, then looks curiously at Akira.]

Ah, but... I'd like to see yours? [She offers a small smile.] If you're okay with showing me.

Thank you.

[The look he has on his face isn't the usual calm one. The tiny clouds that follow him should be enough proof of that.]

Maybe we should both be sitting before I explain this.

[He opens his hand and has a few petals from the tree of memories.]

[Ah... is he troubled? She looks at his hand, and those are petals from the Tree of Memories, aren't they? She then nods.]

Wherever you'd like.

[... which is either at her desk or on her bed, pretty much. Fuuka chooses to sit on the latter.]

Before I show you these I uh...my original plan was to show you something from our future together...but this....I don't know how it's even possible that wel...well, you'll understand once I show you.

[He doesn't wait for her reaction. He takes one of the petal and concentrates on it, so that the image is played before them.

In a field of green, they awaken. It's him and the boy. "I'll protect you" he tells the other, as he gets mocked for his almost neutral reaction. Then the uneasy air about them as the portrait is presented in all its glory.

"Without someone like Junpei or your friend Yosuke joking around, this is kind of awkward..."

It ends just as he's about to open the door and...Yu looks back at Fuuka.]

That other guy...it's him...isn't it?

[Fuuka looks curiously at Yu, then lets her gaze switch over to the memory's.

... what is this?

Her breath catches a little at the sight of Minato, eyes going wide, hand coming up to cover her mouth with the tips of her fingers. It's... startling to see him after death. Startling to hear his voice again. Slowly, she lets her hand fall to her lap and curl into an uneasy fist.

When the memory fades, she ends up dropping her gaze. That was...

She looks up at Yu, then back down into her lap.]

... that's my leader, yes. [And then she shakes her head.] What in the world was that?

I'm not sure. [He looks down as well, taking another of the petals.] Whatever happened, we all forgot about it.

[All?]

Everyone was there...along with these two people called Zen and Rei. I feel like I know them but there's something missing.

["If we don't retreat, for now and pull ourselves together, we'll be done for....

The vision continues as all of SEES (minus Fuuka) appears. Yu has no idea how tiny of a time it would be for all of them to be there, but he watches in silence as they charge and help the other team out. It ends just as they are about to fight the queen, and he looks at her.]

These memories can't be a trick...I never knew him. Somehow, we met each other before...despite our differences in time. Then we forgot about it...Perhaps only something as powerful as the Tree could bring those memories back.

[ppppause]

Well, I suppose secret identities don't matter much between Persona users. [also? you suck at keeping secrets, Akira] I'll show you the next time I need to summon, okay?

I'll let you know the first we hear of him when he returns, if he doesn't immediately come to find you himself.

[Somehow, Ignis doesn't think Fuuka will have to wait long once he does turn up again. He frowns slightly, the weight of Fuuka's emotions carrying through.]

Worry not. I realize it's easier said than done.

If this is all being caused by an Arehtei, then has anyone ever tried punching one and what are the consequences for doing so?

[Holy stress? Fuuka feels it right as the connection opens, even before Akira speaks, and it actually makes her just pause in the middle of some quality time with Jasper.

Hello, Akira. [She isn't aware of the state of everyone, but she at least knows about Futaba, so she can imagine Akira hasn't taken to that too well.]

[I can't say I'd mind finding out, he thinks. but the words die in the back of his brain before he can convey them to her. probably for the best]

[He tries very hard to keep emotions to himself in this connection, but it's difficult to totally suppress a tired sadness that subtly threads and tangles beneath his words.]

[Akira's waiting for her as promised, his bag slung over his shoulder, but absent one (1) traveling cat companion. he's standing near the memory tree, far enough so he doesn't get caught by an errant petal, one hand shading his eyes as he stares up into the tree's branches]

[he looks contemplative. huh. wonder why? he also doesn't notice Fuuka as she approaches]
