[He liked how quiet the spa was after hours. The ability to take a break from the rush and noise of the day, bouncing around socializing with all the new company and those who'd never been much to leave him to his own devices - especially after everything that's happened over the last few months - made it where he enjoyed the tranquil moments of the evening. Probably why he didn't mind idly spending his time cleaning the cafe, his dragon lingering behind him to lick up the scraps that hit the floor while he wiped down each table methodically.

Though his thoughts weren't exactly focused on the task, this time, so much as silently wondering what he should do about his kouhai. It didn't take much for him to realize she'd been fretting over something, not that she made it particularly difficult to figure out. He just hadn't been able to decide on a proper way to question her about it, so he settled on the idea of waiting until later - when the two of them could actually sit down and chat with something warm to drink between the two of them. Hopefully this time the contents would actually stay that way, when considering their track record of freezing things during more serious conversations.

[Out of everyone he knew, Fuuka was perhaps the easiest to figure out whenever it came to something being wrong. A talent that only proved to get more refined the longer they hung out together, and although he'd slowly picked up on some of her tells back where they were from, he'd gotten considerably better about it here. Something that hadn't necessarily been intentional, at first, so much as quiet observation, but it was difficult not to pay particular attention to certain details the more they hung out together.

She was, after all, someone he found important enough to care about. In the minor, distant ways that he could.

The smile he returns isn't much better, the corners of his mouth briefly shifting upwards, but it was enough to give her a more gentler look. Far different than the usual gruff exterior he'd normally try to play up around most people. Any greeting he might have given, however, was disregarded in favor of simply nodding in her direction before his eyes would drift back down to his own tea.

Waiting for her to speak first, as he generally wasn't sure how to breech the subject and was considering just starting with a normal conversation until her questions has him peering over his cup.

... No, but considering the way you've been actin', it must be something important.
